After falling foul of the Fun Police, who have banned singing and dancing, Chris Moose is forced to go on the run. He starts a long and dangerous journey to a foreign land, in search of a secret network rumoured to spread happiness around the world.
With the Fun Police in pursuit, Chris meets a family of homeless orang-utans, the hungry crocs who run the river crossing, a philosophical evergreen, the go-getting Sophie, a record-breaking French snail, and the all-seeing eye in the sky, the Lightning Crow.
Arriving in the northlands, Chris finds reindeer Danni, who introduces him to her team - part of the secret network! But not everyone wants to let a moose join in with their reindeer games.
After a catastrophe in the workshop, Chris and the reindeer must learn to put their differences aside and let their strengths combine if they are to save Christmas.
For the first time in history, a moose must help pull the famous sleigh!

The show covers themes of loneliness and bullying; that our greatest strengths lie in diversity, acceptance, forgiveness and teamwork. And that everyone should dare to have a dream, no matter how impossible it may seem.
